Attendance and sign in
Staff members, team leads, and managers use My Attendance to record the start and end of a work day, review their own session history, and submit time-off requests. Assisterp calls this signing in and signing out rather than clocking in and out.
If My Attendance controls are hidden, see Permissions and Visibility.
Start your work day
Section titled “Start your work day”When you sign in to Assisterp, the Start your work day window asks where you are working:
- Under Select your work location, choose Office or Remote.
- Assisterp records your sign-in time and closes the window.
Each session records the work location you chose as its Work Mode.
Sign out at the end of your day
Section titled “Sign out at the end of your day”Signing out of attendance is separate from logging out of Assisterp. Logging out ends your browser session; it does not close your attendance record.
You sign out through the same window that starts your day. The next time it appears and you already have an open session, it shows Active session found with two choices:
- Sign out now stamps your sign-out time and closes the session.
- Continue existing session leaves the session open and returns you to your work.
If you left a session open on an earlier day, the window opens on Pending sign-out instead. Select Review previous session to open that record in My Attendance, or choose a work location to start today and deal with the open day afterwards.
If you cannot resolve an open session yourself, ask a manager or an HR administrator — they can correct sign-in and sign-out times on your record.
Review your own sessions
Section titled “Review your own sessions”Open My Attendance and use the tabs:
- Today shows whether you are currently signed in, your Signed in time, the Elapsed time so far, and a table of the day’s sessions with Session No, Sign In Time, and Sign Out Time. It also shows This Week’s Schedule when a schedule is assigned to you.
- History shows your attendance across earlier dates.
- Time Off shows the time-off requests you have submitted and where each one stands.
An open session shows no sign-out time until it is closed, so a blank Sign Out Time on an earlier date means that day still needs to be resolved.
Submit a time-off request
Section titled “Submit a time-off request”- Open My Attendance and select Add Time Off.
- Choose the Leave Type. The list holds the leave policies your firm has set up, so the options differ between firms.
- Choose the Time Off Type: Full Day, Half Day, or Short Leave.
- Enter the dates the request covers:
- Full Day asks for a Start Date and End Date.
- Half Day asks for a single Date.
- Short Leave asks for a Date, Start Time, and End Time.
- Enter a Reason.
- Select Add Time Off.
A new request starts as Pending. A manager or HR administrator then approves or rejects it, and the outcome shows on the Time Off tab.
